This handsome and really impressive male Pastor Mallorquin (mixed breed) is new at our animal shelter in Calvià. We adopted him spontaneously from a private emergency situation.

Pinsel is a really lovable, just 1 year old male dog – but he is also a Pastor Mallorquin. He hasn’t experienced much in his life so far and has lived exclusively on a finca together with two other large dogs. At the moment he is still very cautious and reserved – especially towards strangers.

But when he realises that you mean well, he thaws out and seeks closeness and security.

Pinsel needs time – time to gradually get to know life and everything it has to offer. And of course he needs the right people for this. And these people should already be experienced with dogs, have familiarised themselves with the breed, live in a rural area, preferably with a garden, and naturally accept him as a full member of the family. Pinsel loves and needs people by his side – but preferably just one person or a few to whom he will bond really quickly.

Pastor Mallorquins are herding dogs and they have a protective instinct that should not be underestimated and tend towards territorial behaviour. You should be aware of this and take it into account. If you give Pinsel the necessary time and patience, you will have a really great friend and loyal companion at your side – that is absolutely certain.

Incidentally, Pinsel used to live with cats on the finca – so he can learn to do that again. He also needs to learn how to deal with other dogs bit by bit, as he hasn’t had much experience yet.

Pinsel is a great and really impressive dog with a lot of potential and we would like him to move into his perfect family as soon as possible.
