Now the starting signal has been given – now we can finally officially look for a home for our Catalina as soon as possible, for the rest of her life. This will probably be the very first real and really good home in her life – which she will hopefully get very soon. Catalina – from the first day on, this magical, already eleven-year-old mixed-breed dog has crept into our hearts. Catalina has of course again a very special and also very sad history.

So she lived for many years, together with her dog friend Rupert, under the worst circumstances and in truly catastrophic conditions. Completely neglected, almost starved and actually completely left on her own – and that in a confined space without a run-out.

Only thanks to the intensive work of our umbrella organisation BALDEA and attentive people (who did not look away and simply did not give up) it was possible that the two dogs were allowed to come in our care (to us at the SOS Animal animal shelter in Calvià).

A long time of fear finally came to an end at the end of December, because the court judgement finally fell on our or Catalina’s favour🙏. Catalina is now our dog and we can finally find a family. Unfortunately, her dog friend Rupert couldn’t make it anymore. He was so sick and drawn that we had to let him go in the meantime😢 (RIP you wonderful dog💔).

Catalina has had to go through an incredible amount, but she struggled incredibly, developed great and fought back to life. She is incredibly friendly to really everyone – whether young or old – and absorbs closeness and attention like a sponge. In the meantime, she also gets along really well with most dogs – which was understandably not the case at the beginning, as she had no possibility of socialisation at all. Catalina has become calmer – as an eleven-year-old dog lady is entitled to.

But she also loves walks and activities – the main thing is that she is allowed to be with her people. We wish for this wonderful senior that she can finally arrive properly – and this time really forever. Catalina needs a quieter home with calm people – a home without many steps and that is as close to nature as possible and not in the middle of the noisy city. She would certainly love a garden, but it is not a basic requirement.

It is simply important that her people really have a lot of time for her and do not demand and expect too much from her.

Catalina is a dog who wants a lot of love and attention, but will return exactly that infinitely.

She is just ❤️ VERY SPECIAL ❤️ Catalina never gave up – no matter how hard the times were.

And that should now be rewarded as quickly as possible – by a family of her own 🙏❤️.
