At a “beauty competition” this beautiful and really very special border collie would certainly be on the top position ❤. Xusco is approx. 2 1/2 years old and a just absolutely great dog, who here in our animal shelter really wraps everyone around his paw immediately. Incredibly loveable and friendly to everyone and so far also really well compatible with his conspecifics.

But he is also a real Border Collie – with all the characteristics and needs that this breed also brings with it. And that’s exactly why it should be with the right people. Smart or rather even “highly intelligent”, very affectionate, always very attentive, energetic and of course full of joy of movement. And always in anticipation of “his” tasks – because Xusco needs “work” and challenge, i.e. he needs head labour. Pure “walking” will definitely not be enough for this dog to be truly happy and balanced.

Of course, he loves to hike with his people and be in nature, but you should still offer him more. Dog sports such as agility or other activities would be great here, for example. A not properly busy border collie may tend to otherwise look for its own tasks or even become conspicuous by behaviour – unfortunately we see this again and again in animal welfare.

Xusco is a real dream dog and in the right and suitable family (of course, as a full member of the family) the really absolutely perfect companion.
