And another big black  DREAM DOG  And also this 8 year old Pastor Mallorquin mongrel male had to endure many long months in the Perrera Natura Park – as so often without any chance – without being seen. And he was getting worse there day by day.

Now Jacky is with us in Calvia. And he is just great. Jacky seems to have a really good basic character. So far he is just incredibly friendly with everyone and he has no fear of contact. And he quickly gains trust and is really very affectionate. We suspect that he has already lived with a family; but we don’t know for sure. Jacky really wants to belong. Even in our large exercise area at the shelter, he always seeks direct contact with people. He soaks up closeness and attention like a sponge. He probably has a lot of catching up to do . He doesn’t seem to have any problems with most other dogs so far. However, he doesn’t seem to have had a lot of social contacts and is sometimes a bit unsure, especially in the beginning and under stress. But cats will definitely never be one of his friends. Oh – and he loves water – every large bucket of water here in our house is first of all extensively climbed on. That gives him great pleasure. However, Jacky is also a really strong dog – that should not be underestimated.

And so we would like to have people for him who are already experienced with dogs and who can work with him a little bit, for example on his leash behaviour. Jacky will definitely be happy to join in, because he is open, willing to learn and he wants to please. His new family should live in a quiet area and have a garden. Jacky is definitely not a city dog. Jacky has already got us all wrapped around his paw. And now he should be able to do that with his own family as soon as possible. Please share – thank you very much!
