This is Pirata

The approx. 5 year old Shar Pey mixed breed with the “sweet silver look” is now with us in our animal shelter in Calvià. Before that, he had to spend a very long time in the Perrera Calvia.

Pirata is indeed a lovely guy who really seeks to relate to people. However, he has a handicap – he has severe visual impairment, probably since birth. He has learned to live with it well, but this poor eyesight unsettles him at times. For example, he doesn’t like when there is too much restlessness (many people at the same time) around him. That makes him nervous. The same goes for dealing with fellow animals. He can then not assess the situation precisely and sometimes reacts accordingly. If one or two people deal with h8m in peace, he is more balanced and orientates himself very well to his manager, especially when walking. Pirata has not yet had much opportunity to learn in his life. So he should definitely be with people, currently without small children, who are already dog experienced and can guide him with calm, loving consistency and patience and also work with him. People who live in a quieter residential area and, if possible, with a garden. Pirata loves to be active and enjoys joint activities. In the right environment, Pirata will definitely develop into a great companion …
