This is Ushiro…
(July 2025)
We have been asked for urgent adoption help for this beautiful Border Collie. This male dog turned four in March.
Due to an allergy in one of his family members and a massive lack of time, his old family can no longer do him justice – and we are glad that they have asked for help, because they can see for themselves that Ushiro is not happy and is completely underchallenged.
So we want to try to find him a new home now BEFORE he ends up in our shelter.
Ushiro is a friendly male who is open and approachable after a short period of contact. Unfortunately, the development and activity opportunities that are so important for Border Collies have simply been neglected for Ushiro in recent times. And so we are now desperately looking for a family who can do him absolute justice and who have already dealt with this breed. Border Collies absolutely need good exercise and species-appropriate activity – but under no circumstances should they be overtaxed. As herding dogs, they need to be well trained and require clear and consistent training.
Ushiro is an intelligent male dog who is eager to learn and who should definitely live close to nature (with a garden, of course) and under no circumstances as a city dog. Unfortunately, due to a lack of time, there haven’t really been many dog encounters recently, so he needs a little more work on his socialization. But Ushiro is absolutely open-minded.
He can be met here on the island at short notice by prior arrangement – but he would also be ready to leave for Germany.
Ushiro is fully vaccinated and tested negative for leishmaniasis.
