ANIMAL WELLFARE
Our goals are to: |
- Work hand in hand with the municipality of Calvia
- Take in dogs from the municipal dog shelter of Calvia
- Rescue dogs from other municipal dog pens on the island
- Provide healthcare for abandoned dogs and injured stray cats
- Neuter and rehome dogs and cats from our shelter
- Maintain the greatest neuter campaign for stray cats in the South West of the island of Mallorca
- Establish a network to increase the number of rehomed animals
- Build a community of foster carers
- End cruelty and neglect of domestic animals in the South West of the island of Mallorca
- Continue to stand out as an ambassador for the rights and protection of animals and raise awareness
- Avoid at all costs the unnatural death of a healthy dog or cat
SOS-Animal-Mallorca is a co-founder and active member of the umbrella organisation Baldea (Plataforma Balear per a la Defensa dels Animals).

| EUROPE HAS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR MILLIONS OF |
Right in the middle of Europe, millions of street animals are dying year in year out: in killing camps who call themselves animal shelters, or in “freedom” – of hunger, cold, diseases, poison.
Granted, you’ll find local laws forbidding the above – but often enough neither local authorities nor elements of the executive authorities do comply with the laws.
